This blog wasn't my idea. In fact, I hadn't even thought about getting one until I read my friend Paula's new blog. One of her main reasons for creating one was because it's essential to know how to blog and use the latest social media in the communication field. So, here I am playing catch-up in the blogging world. Thank you, Paula!
I have two months until the educational world that I've been apart of for the past 20 years of my life is no more. I can't sit here and tell you I'm all smiles and filled with excitement like some people my age can. I'm slightly terrified. When I was younger I couldn't wait to grow up. I felt like time was barely moving and I was going to be in 2nd grade forever. But now I find myself wishing that there was a "pause" button. I can't believe that I'm about to graduate college. When did that happen?
Now don't get me wrong, part of this whole process is really exciting. I'm ready to move out of the dorms, to never have to eat at Campus Center again, and to be done with cramming for finals along with other things. It's not knowing for sure what I'm going to be doing in May that's stressful. I was told that college would go by quickly but I didn't realize how quickly. I guess I finally made it out of the 2nd grade.
I've been blessed to have made such great friends along the way. I cannot believe that I've been able to call such wonderful people some of my best friends. I've had the same roommate all four years of living in the dorms and it's been a great experience. Now that it's almost time to tell her and the rest of my friends good-bye,I'm faced with being on my own more than I've ever been before. I know that we will be friends forever, but that doesn't mean that growing up and moving out is an easier.
It's scary and stressful, but everyone has to do it and now it's my turn. Come what may, I will always have my college experience to bring me wonderful memories and for that I am extremely grateful.
Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
